The Cel-Fi GO Marine Kit is the ultimate signal booster system for people who are serious about staying connected while boating. The Cel-Fi GO is a single carrier booster system that can support one of the following carriers at a time: Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile. If you decide to switch carriers or need to boost a different carrier for a guest, then you can easily update the booster to support a different carrier with the smartphone WAVE app.

By supporting only a single carrier, the Cel-Fi GO is covered by a different set of FCC rules that allows it to have up to 100 dB of gain while stationary (vs 70 dB for multi-carrier systems) and 65 dB of gain while moving (vs 50 dB for multi-carrier systems). This extra gain can dramatically increase your coverage area inside of your boat or marine craft, and can help you stay connected in places where other amplifiers fall short. To adjust between stationary and mobile mode, you just use the smartphone WAVE app to update the booster.

Why the Cel-Fi GO Marine?

  • More powerful than multi-carrier boosters, for the most coverage inside with a weak to moderate outside signal.
  • Maximum uplink power to ensure that the signal from the vehicle gets back to the distant cell tower.
  • Can be configured to support a different carrier as needed using the free smartphone app.
  • Can be converted to a mobile booster when in transit, for a full 65 dB of gain, which is ideal for RVs, Boats, and other large vehicles.
  • Works wirelessly. No physical connection to your phone required.
  • Supports multiple phones and all carriers at the same time.
  • Everything you need is included in the kit.
  • Fewer dropped calls
  • Faster Internet data speeds
  • Better voice quality
  • Texts that send quickly
  • Longer battery life

Your purchase is covered by our 30-day money back guarantee, so you can try it risk free, and our friendly, US-based technical support team is standing by to assist with anything you need. Your equipment is also covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty, for extra peace of mind.

Recommended For

The Cel-Fi GO Marine system is recommended for anyone who wants the most coverage possible in a boat, ship or other marine craft. The Cel-Fi GO Marine works best when everyone has devices from the same carrier, since it will only boost one carrier at a time.

How it Works

The Cel-Fi GO Marine System starts with an omnidirectional outdoor marine antenna that is mounted as high up on the boat as possible, and receives the existing cell signal available outside of the boat.

From the outdoor antenna, there’s a 20 ft RG58 cable that runs from the marine antenna into the cabin, where it connects to the GO amplifier using an adapter. A 20 ft RG58 cable then connects the amplifier to an indoor panel antenna. The inside panel antenna broadcasts the boosted signal to the inside of the cabin, and should be located in the area where you need a stronger signal.

The entire process also works in reverse, so you get a strong and reliable connection back to the distant cell towers on shore.

Some additional notes:

  • The GO amplifier requires power and comes with both an AC and a DC CLA power adapter to give you flexible power options, whether you’re connected to a dock AC power or if you're on the water.
  • Different cable lengths are available for custom installations. Please contact us if you need to customize this kit.

Estimated Inside Coverage

The strength of your existing outside signal, measured in the location where you plan to mount the outside antenna, has a direct impact on the amount of inside coverage you'll get from a signal booster. The distance between the inside and outside antennas can also dramatically impact the size of the coverage area. The table below shows how much coverage you may get depending on your outside signal strength:

Existing Outside Signal Strength Estimated Inside Coverage
Strong (5 Bars) Most of the Boat
Medium (3-4 Bars) Most of the Boat
Weak (1-2 Bars) Up to 15 feet from the inside antenna
None (0 Bars) No Coverage

Please Note: It is important to remember that there are many factors that impact the size of the inside coverage area, so actual results may vary from these estimates.

Will this Work for my Phone and Carrier?

The Cel-Fi GO Marine is designed to boost only one carrier at a time. The booster can be reconfigured to change which carrier is boosted, so you’re not locked in to just one carrier, but it will only boost the carrier that it is configured for.

Installation

Installation Overview

Installing the Cel-Fi GO Marine System will involve mounting antennas, running cables, and connecting everything to the amplifier.

We always recommend doing a “soft” install first, where you don’t permanently mount anything. Instead, just run the cables through open windows or doors, connect everything together, and try the system to see how well it works. Based on the soft install, you can try repositioning antennas before they’re permanently mounted.

  1. Start by finding a location to mount the outside marine antenna using the included marine mount, ideally as high up as possible on the boat.

If you have a sailboat, then the mast is a great mounting location. Otherwise, find a location where the antenna is high enough to have a clear view in all directions, without being so high that it will hit obstacles while moving or docking the boat.
  2. To the outside antenna, connect the white 20 ft RG58 cable and run the cable into the cabin to the location where you plan to mount the amplifier. The amplifier needs power so it should be located somewhere with AC or DC power available.
  3. Connect cable from the marine antenna to the Outside port, which is indicated by a cell tower icon.
  4. To the inside port on the amplifier, indicated by a cell phone icon, connect the black 20 ft cable and run to the location where you plan to mount the inside panel antenna. For best results, the panel antenna should be as far from the outside antenna as possible. If the antennas are within 20 ft of each other, do not point the panel antenna directly at the outside antenna.

The inside panel antenna is fairly versatile in how you mount it, so it can be on the ceiling facing downwards, or on the wall facing across the cabin (ideally away from the outside antenna).
  5. Once both antennas are connected, plug in the power and give the amplifier a few minutes to start up.
  6. While it’s starting, use the WAVE app to connect to the amplifier. To download the WAVE app, search for “Cel-Fi WAVE” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. When you launch the app, it will attempt to connect to the booster which can take one to five minutes. The app will tell you how the system is working and if there are any issues, like needing to register the booster.

Once the amplifier is powered up and has connected to the configured network, you should see a significant boost in your cell signal inside of the cabin.
