The Drive 3G-X Marine Signal Booster Kit is the perfect kit for boosting signal in your boat or marine vehicle. The Drive 3G-X Marine Kit features a dual-band, 50 dB amplifier, which is the most powerful mobile amplifier system allowed by the FCC, a marine antenna, and a panel inside antenna to maximize the internal coverage area. The Drive 3G-X has a more powerful uplink than the standard Drive 3G-M allowing you to get up to 60% further from the tower while still maintaining a usable cell signal.

The Drive 3G-X Marine kit boosts the 2G and 3G networks from all major carriers, giving you fewer dropped calls, increased call clarity, and boosted 3G data. The Drive 3G-X Marine will not booster the new 4G LTE networks from any carrier, so if you need the fast data from 4G LTE boosted, then you'll have to look at the Drive 4G-X Extreme Marine signal booster kit. Unlike less powerful signal boosters, the Drive 3G-X Marine kit communicates with your phone wirelessly and does not require a wired connection to your phone or for it to sit in a cradle to receive boosted signal. Additionally, because it broadcasts boosted signal to the local area, multiple phones and data devices are able to receive boosted signal at the same time.

The coverage area that you receive inside the vehicle from the Drive 3G-X Marine Kit will depend on your existing outside signal strength. In areas where you get a moderate outside signal, the Drive 3G-X Marine kit will provide a boosted signal up to 5 ft from the inside antenna. If the outside signal gets weaker, the coverage area will shrink, until you have to keep your phone within about 18 inches from the inside antenna in order to take advantage of the boosted signal. If you need a larger area to talk while inside the vehicle, just keep your phone near the inside antenna and use a bluetooth headset for greater mobility. Hotspots can also be left near the inside antenna and connected to via WiFi, giving you the fastest internet speeds possible.

Coverage Area

Mobile signal boosters are restricted to a relatively low power to limit the chances that they could interfere with a cellular network. With a maximum gain of 50 dB, a mobile signal booster can cover about 6 ft from the inside antenna, when you have a moderate to strong existing outside signal. When you have a very weak existing outside signal, the coverage area may be limited to just a few feet around the inside antenna. For best results, we recommend leaving your phone or data device near the signal booster's inside antenna and then using a bluetooth headset for phone calls while in the boat, ship or marine vehicle.

Installation Overview

Installing the Drive 3G-X Marine kit is very easy and can usually be done in just a few minutes.

To start, mount the Marine Antenna using the included marine antenna mount, as high up as possible on the boat or marine vehicle. Run the attached cable into the boat and connect the cable to the amplifier's Outside Antenna port. To the Inside Antenna port, connect the inside antenna cable and run to the inside panel antenna, which you'll mount either on the ceiling or the wall in the location where you'll be using your mobile devices the most. Power on the amplifier and you should immediately start receiving boosted signal.
