Coverage Area

The strength of your existing outside signal, measured where you plan to mount the outside antenna, has a direct impact on the amount of inside coverage you'll get from a signal booster. The table below provides general estimates based on signal strength:

• Strong (5 Bars): Up to 5,000 sq ft
• Medium (3–4 Bars): Up to 3,500 sq ft
• Weak (1–2 Bars): Up to 1,000 sq ft
• None (0 Bars): No coverage

Installation

The weBoost Home MultiRoom has been redesigned for easier installation, making it accessible to anyone who’s reasonably handy. If you're not comfortable getting on your roof to mount the outside antenna, it’s a good idea to ask a handy friend or hire a local AV installer.

Before you start, we strongly recommend doing a soft install. That means placing the components and running the cables temporarily, without drilling or permanently mounting anything, until you're confident the system will work for your space and you’ve identified the best antenna locations.

To install the system, follow these four basic steps:

1. Find a location on the roof of your home to mount the outside antenna. Use the included mounting clamp to attach it to a rooftop vent pipe or pole. Connect the 30-foot RG6 coax cable to the antenna and run the cable into the building.
2. Once inside, connect the cable to the amplifier. If you’ve purchased a lightning surge protector, install that inline before connecting to the amplifier’s outside antenna port.
3. Connect one of the included 15-foot RG6 cables to the amplifier’s inside antenna port. Attach the inside antenna and place it where you need signal the most—such as a home office or shared living area. You can use the kickstand to set it on a surface or mount it to the wall using the included Command Strips.
4. Plug in the amplifier and check for any error lights. If you see a red or yellow light, consult the user manual or reach out for help.

After setup, fine-tune the direction of the outside antenna for the best signal results. Rotate it in small increments, power cycling the booster each time, while checking the signal level inside.

The included manual walks through every step in more detail, and the weBoost app offers helpful guidance for tower location, antenna aiming, and performance testing. If you run into any issues during installation, our support team is here to help.

Installation Tips

• Use the included vent-pipe clamp for quick outside antenna mounting—no tools required
• Maximize the distance between the outside and inside antennas, and make sure they are not pointing toward each other to reduce the risk of oscillation (feedback)
• Start with a soft install before committing to final mounting or drilling
• Use the flat window entry cable if you don’t want to drill through walls
• Aim the directional outside antenna by rotating it in small increments, unplugging and replugging the booster to reset each time
• Keep the booster and inside antenna at least 24 inches apart
