How it Works

The CEL-FI GO Marine System starts with an omnidirectional outdoor marine antenna that is mounted as high up on the boat as possible, and receives the existing cell signal available outside of the boat.

From the outdoor antenna, there’s a 20 ft RG58 cable that runs from the marine antenna into the cabin, where it connects to the GO amplifier using an adapter. A 20 ft RG58 cable then connects the amplifier to an indoor panel antenna. The inside panel antenna broadcasts the boosted signal to the inside of the cabin, and should be located in the area where you need a stronger signal.

The entire process also works in reverse, so you get a strong and reliable connection back to the distant cell towers on shore.

Some additional notes:

• The GO amplifier requires power and comes with both an AC and a DC CLA power adapter to give you flexible power options, whether you’re connected to a dock AC power or if you're on the water.

The strength of your existing outside signal, measured in the location where you plan to mount the outside antenna, has a direct impact on the amount of inside coverage you'll get from a signal booster. The distance between the inside and outside antennas can also dramatically impact the size of the coverage area.
