CommScope 400 Series Plenum Ultra Low Loss Coax Cable with N-Male Connectors (CNT-400-P) [Discontinued]

CommScope CNT-400-P is a 400-series plenum 50-ohm coax cable that’s ideal for medium length runs through plenum spaces or where required by code. This is available in any length and comes with N-Male connectors for use with most of our 50-ohm signal booster systems.

A plenum is a space within a building that is used by the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system for airflow.  Typically, it is the space above a drop ceiling, but can also be below a floor.  If you have return air vents and there is not a duct attached to the back of the return air vent, it is a plenum space and plenum cables should be used.  There are other factors that can require plenum rated cable so be sure to check with your local code enforcement officer if you're unsure.

400 series cable is a 3/8” diameter cable that works well in runs that are 10 to 100 ft long.  The CNT-400-P cable features a loss of 4.63 dB per 100 ft over the lower frequencies and 7.0 dB per 100 ft over the higher frequencies that are used for cellular communications.  For runs longer than 100 ft or where you need to maximize performance, we recommend moving up to a ½” plenum cable.

The CNT-400-P cable is white.  It should only be used indoors and away from direct sunlight since the jacket is not UV resistant and will break down after long-term exposure to sunlight.
