Overview

If you make your living out of a truck, you already know what bad cell service can do. Jobs slow down, calls drop halfway through, and the apps you rely on stop loading when you need them most. The weBoost Work Truck signal booster was made for exactly that problem. It keeps your phone and data connection steady when you are out past the edge of normal coverage.

This system takes whatever signal your phone can barely hold outside the cab and turns it into something usable inside. Calls stay connected, texts send right away, and navigation and job apps keep working even when you are parked miles from town.

Everything about it is built for real trucks. The outside antenna can handle rain, vibration, and highway wind. You can choose a short or tall mast to clear racks or gear, and the quick release lets you pull the antenna off in seconds before a wash bay or low garage. Power it through the 12-volt plug for a fast setup or hardwire it in for a permanent install.

The Work Truck kit is the kind of equipment you put in once and stop worrying about. It is made for contractors, service techs, and anyone who depends on their truck to stay connected and get work done where other boosters fall short.

Coverage Area & Supported Carriers

Coverage Area

The strength of your existing outside signal, measured where you plan to mount the outside antenna, has a direct impact on the amount of inside coverage you will get from a signal booster. The table below provides general estimates based on signal strength:

  • Strong (5 Bars): Coverage up to 6 feet from the inside antenna
  • Medium (3–4 Bars): A few feet from the inside antenna
  • Weak (1–2 Bars): About 18 inches from the inside antenna
  • None (0 Bars): No coverage

Please note: Many factors impact the size of the inside coverage area, so actual results may vary from these estimates.

Supported Carriers and Technologies

  • Supported Devices: All cell phones, hotspots, and other devices that use cellular data
  • Supported Networks: 4G LTE and 5G (on FCC approved bands)
  • Frequencies Boosted: 700, 800, 1900, and 1700/2100 MHz
  • Carriers: Works with Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and UScellular. Also supports smaller carriers, prepaid providers, MVNOs, and any other carrier that operates on these frequency bands

Please note: This booster may not work in most countries in Europe, Asia, or Africa, as cellular networks in those regions often use different frequency bands.

Installation Overview

The Work Truck kit is designed for a straightforward DIY install. Everything you need comes in the box. The setup includes mounting the outside antenna, routing one cable into the cab, placing the booster and inside antenna, and connecting to power.

For best performance, mount the outside antenna above the cab line or any gear that could block signal. Once in place, it connects to the booster inside the cab, which feeds the inside antenna to broadcast improved signal throughout the truck.

1. Mount the Outside Antenna
Choose a location where the antenna can stand upright and clear of obstructions for the best signal path. The included hardware gives you several options for mounting the antenna securely on your truck.

Outside Antenna Mounting Options

  • T-slot Mounting: Fits directly into compatible T-slot rails or truck bed rack systems using the included hardware
  • Pole Mounting: Secures to round poles, rails, or ladder uprights with the included brackets and non-slip pad
  • Flat Surface Mounting: Attaches securely to flat surfaces such as toolboxes or bed rails

Mounting Features and Components

  • Folding Bracket: Allows easy angle adjustment for clearance or storage and can pivot horizontally when needed
  • Quick Release: Lets you detach the antenna in seconds before entering a wash bay or low-clearance area
  • Stabilizer Arm: Keeps the antenna stable when folded flat or during rough travel

Apply the included thread lock to all threaded connections to prevent loosening from vibration. Use the 4-inch or 13-inch mast extensions as needed to raise the antenna above toolboxes, racks, or other equipment.

2. Assemble the Antenna and Route the Cable
Run the coax cable through any mast extension and the side-exit adapter. Connect the 14-foot cable to the antenna lead and route it under a door seal or through an existing grommet into the cab. Avoid routing near airbags or moving parts, and leave enough slack to prevent pinching or tension on the cable.

3. Mount the Booster and Inside Antenna
Find a location with airflow such as under or behind a seat. Secure the booster using the included bracket and hardware. Connect the cable from the outside antenna to the port labeled “Outside Antenna” and the cable from the inside antenna to the port labeled “Inside Antenna.”

Mount the inside antenna on the dashboard or seat side using the provided Velcro strips. Keep your phone about 18 to 36 inches from the inside antenna for the best results.

4. Connect Power
The Work Truck kit includes two power options to fit your setup.

  • 12V DC plug-in power: Use the cigarette lighter cord for a fast, portable setup. The cord includes an on/off switch to prevent battery drain when parked.
  • Hardwire power: Use the included harness for a permanent installation. Route the wire away from heat and moving parts, and leave space around the booster for airflow.

5. Test and Finalize
Turn on the power and check the booster light. A solid green light indicates the system is operating normally. If the light is red or flashing, increase the distance between the inside and outside antennas, power cycle the booster, and test again. Once confirmed, secure all cables and hardware.

Installer Tips

  • Mount the outside antenna as high and clear as possible and keep it vertical
  • Maximize separation between the inside and outside antennas to prevent feedback
  • Avoid coiling extra cable near the booster
  • Remove the antenna before automatic car washes to prevent damage
