Overview

The Wilson Connectivity Lightning Arrestor (SKU 850050) is designed to protect your signal booster system where it matters most. It installs directly on the coaxial cable coming from your outdoor antenna and diverts lightning-induced surges safely to ground before they can reach your amplifier.

This arrestor protects the signal path, not the power line. When a storm rolls in, a surge can enter through the antenna cable long before it ever touches your electrical system. This is where the damage happens. The 850050 steps in to stop it.

It supports all standard 4G frequencies and extends up to 5.8 GHz to cover newer 5G systems as well. The body is built for indoor or outdoor use with weather-resistant materials. It features a replaceable gas discharge tube that can handle multiple surge events and includes a grounding screw for optional connection to a ground wire. Both ports are N-Female for easy in-line installation with 50 ohm coax.

If your system connects to an outside antenna, this arrestor gives you a simple and proven way to protect your investment.

  • Works with all major 4G and 5G booster systems
  • Compact, durable, and easy to install
  • Helps prevent costly damage during storms

Installation Overview

Install the lightning protector in-line on the coaxial cable that runs between your outdoor antenna and your amplifier. It should be placed as close as possible to the point where the cable enters the building. This allows the protector to intercept surges before they reach your indoor equipment.

Step-by-step

  1. Power down your system before installation
  2. Connect the coax cable from the outdoor antenna to one end of the lightning protector
  3. Use a separate jumper cable to connect the other end of the protector to your amplifier
  4. If grounding is required, attach a ground wire to the built-in grounding screw and run it to an appropriate ground source
  5. Tighten all connections by hand. Do not overtighten
  6. Power the system back on and confirm signal

Installer tips

  • Always ground the protector if installed outdoors
  • Use a short jumper cable between the protector and amplifier
  • Avoid sharp bends or coiled cable near the protector
  • Mount it in a weather-protected spot when possible

Most installs take just a few minutes and require only basic tools.
