The WilsonPro 1398 is available in two versions: wall mount (SKU 460072) and rack mount (SKU 461072). Each package includes the following:

• Enterprise 1398 Amplifier (wall mount or rack mount, depending on SKU)
• External hinged antenna
• Power supply

Note: Indoor and outdoor C-band antennas, coaxial cables, and a lightning surge protector are required but sold separately.

The WilsonPro 1398 does not have fixed square-foot coverage ratings like smaller consumer boosters. Coverage depends on several factors:

• The strength of the outdoor C-band signal where the donor antenna is mounted
• The number and placement of indoor antennas
• Building layout, materials, and ceiling height
• Whether the system is configured for dual-path SISO or 2x2 MIMO

In practical terms, a strong outdoor signal with a well-designed indoor antenna layout can cover large portions of an enterprise facility. With weak outdoor signal or poor antenna placement, coverage may be limited to smaller zones. For multi-floor or high-capacity sites, the 1398 is often deployed as part of a larger WilsonPro or hybrid DAS system.

Important This amplifier is built for use in the United States and Canada. It may not operate in Europe, Asia, or Africa due to different frequency bands. Carrier approval is required before activation.

The WilsonPro 1398 is designed for professional installation in enterprise environments. It can be wall-mounted (SKU 460072) or rack-mounted in a standard 19-inch server rack (SKU 461072). The amplifier must be installed indoors in a climate-controlled location.

Antenna Setup

• The system requires both outdoor and indoor C-band antennas.
• For MIMO operation, two outdoor and two indoor antennas are typically used.
• Mount outdoor antennas where the strongest C-band signal is available, usually on a rooftop or exterior wall.
• Use 50-ohm coaxial cable with N-type connectors to connect antennas to the amplifier.
• A Wilson lightning surge protector is recommended between outdoor antennas and the amplifier.

Spacing and Separation

• Keep outdoor and indoor antennas well separated to avoid oscillation.
• Position antennas in opposite directions when possible.
• If the system shows reduced gain due to oscillation (yellow light), increase the antenna separation and reboot.

Mounting Options

• Wall mount: Secure a 4’x4’ sheet of ¾” plywood to the wall, then fasten the amplifier using the recommended hardware. Ensure the mounting surface is solid and not prone to vibration.
• Rack mount: Use standard cage screws and nuts to secure the amplifier in an EIA-compliant 19-inch rack.

Power and Setup

• Connect the amplifier to a grounded AC outlet using the included power supply.
• Once powered, the system takes about three minutes to boot.
• The onboard color LCD touchscreen displays status and allows basic configuration.
• For detailed setup, use the WilsonPro Cloud platform or the Local Amplifier Configuration Utility via Ethernet.

Installer Tips

• Test multiple outdoor antenna locations before finalizing placement. Even small differences can greatly affect signal quality.
• Do not coil excess cable near the amplifier. Cut cable runs to proper length or route neatly.
• Always maintain safe separation from antennas: at least 6 feet for panel or dome antennas inside, and follow the 10-meter (33-foot) height limit for outdoor antennas above ground.
